Donna ‘Black-cat’ Bugat: Paris, Hong Kong... & 'East meets West' with Vegemite & Weetbix in global 'capital' of 'multi-culturalism' called Melbourne (03.07.2019)
A journey across cultures to East meets West in Melbourne:
... a hand-over in hong kong between air france and qantas...
The hand-over between Air France and Qantas took place in Hong Kong. The plane from Hong Kong to Melbourne was full, so I was very spoilt in having bagged the only spare seat next to me (after the long flight from Paris) which gave me an aisle -and- window seat to stretch out.
It feels super strange, being in Melbourne, for soooooo many reasons.
The fact Melbourne is arguably the global 'capital' of multi-culturalism does not necessarily however translate into equality for all.
But there is Vegemite and Weetbix !!
... charles de gaulle in paris...
And the luxury of using some electricity and hot water (after a year without any)
... hong kong...
There is always so much to learn and think about.
I reflect our children grew up with all sorts of technology that is now so much a part of not just commerce, but any and all governance everywhere today.
... mount victoria in hong kong...
The single thing I have consistently noticed after venturing from my cave for the past six years (my modest cottage in my nature lovers paradise, which is my only home, in Breizh, France) to travel from one side of the world to the other, through very different cultures, was all countries reliance upon numerous connected platforms of mobile technology.
So how can people create, build and link responsible… administrative governance in politics across the world ?
... melbourne railways...
The beautifully re-furbished State Library in Melbourne, which has successfully incorporated various forms of technology is a very important public resource and asset that like other local, state and federal libraries retains so much important information in and about communities. The effectively managed libraries also operate as a public venue to help bring people and groups together.
...Melbourne is multi-cultural with a capital M... so much information...
The Oz Parliament re-opened on the same day as the EU Parliament in the ongoing global dialogue over what should be the role and limits of politicians in legislation and democracy.
... a very kind gift of a mega packet of weetbix and a humungous jar of vegemite...
A single family can have multiple cultural identities.
So, the central issue for politics everywhere these days is the real world of wholly natural global multicultural families.
Melbourne is East meets West.
There is so much to do.
Kia-ora, Cordialement and all that.
I am curious to see what true free market capitalism looks like with a real level playing field.
It is common-sense it is a fundamental human right everyone should have the land security of owning some land so they can build their own shelter which is necessary for their survival.
Love, Peace, Justice For All xx
The truth is free.
