NATO WAR PROPAGANDA CLAIMS TURKISH JETS HIT ‘ISLAMIC STATE’ TARGETS IN SYRIA [WITHOUT ISSUING ARTICLE 51 LETTER TO UN] AS PART OF US-LED COALITION (30.08.2015)
The UN edge ever closer to a complete and utter irrelevance as the lawless US et al ignore the most basic international law over sovereignty with absolute impunity at the UN.
I completely missed Turkey's Article 51 letter to the UN with the latest NATO war propaganda over Turkey joining the US-led coalition in conducting air strikes in Syria without the invitation of the Syrian government.
this is what turkish jets hitting 'islamic state' targets in syria looks like
Of course the US-led coalition are not really conducting airstrikes against the 'Islamic State'.
The Vice 'News' video propaganda is very clear evidence of the fake 'Islamic State' being used as a false pretext by the US & Kurds to actually bomb areas to push back the Syrian government.
Given the complete obedience of the Turkish government to the US, one can only wonder when Turkey ceded national sovereignty to the US military too ?
Does the US military take precedence over any law in Turkey ? [which granted doesn't make much of a pretense of having any legal system itself anyway]
Kurdish 'political' leaders in Turkey are certainly wholly complicit in the war on Syria, having by no co-incidence just agreed a caretaker government in Turkey with Erdogan.
Turkish jets have joined the U.S.-led coalition in the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and hit targets in Syria, Turkish Foreign Ministry has announced.
“The public had been informed with respect to the decisions taken on further deepening the existing cooperation between Turkey and the US to counter DEASH,” the Foreign Ministry said in a written statement on Aug. 29, using a different acronym for ISIL.
“Also, the technical document regarding the participation of the Turkish Air Force in the ongoing air operations carried out by the International Coalition in the context of Operation Inherent Resolve against DEASH was signed between Turkey and the U.S. on Aug. 24,” the statement read.
“Our fighter aircraft, together with Coalition fighter aircraft, began carrying out joint air operations as of yesterday evening against DEASH targets in Syria that also present a threat to our national security.”
The Foreign Ministry said Turkey considers counterin terrorist organizations as “a national security issue of priority.”
“Turkey will continue its active support to the efforts towards eliminating the threats presented by DEASH, which Turkey put in its own list of terrorist organizations in 2013, both at the national level and as a part of the Coalition with a firm determination,” said the ministry.
Last month, Turkey had made a preliminary step toward joining the counter-offensive by allowing the U.S. planes to use İncirlik Air Base to attack ISIL positions in Syria. But Turkey’s operations against ISIL had been limited.
On July 24, Turkish warplanes attacked ISIL targets in Syria, but not as part of the coalition operation.
Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Saturday that Turkey's jets have carried out their first airstrikes as part of the U.S.-led coalition against ISIS in Syria.
The Ministry's statement said the jets began attacking ISIS targets late Friday across the border in Syria, deemed to be threats to Turkey.
The statement read, "The struggle with the terror groups is Turkey's priority in terms of national security. This struggle will continue with determination."
The private news channel NTV reported that Turkish jets struck seven ISIS targets in northern Aleppo in Syria, whereas Doğan news agency said two jets carried out strikes on four ISIS targets on Saturday.
The statement gave no further detail of the strikes, launched under the operational name Authentic Resolution.
Pentagon official Navy Capt. Jeff Davis had told reporters on Thursday that American and Turkish military experts have put the final touches on an agreement signed earlier this week and Turkish jets will soon fly alongside U.S.-led coalition aircrafts in the fight against the ISIS terrorist organization.
"I am not going to give you days and hours but very soon," he had said, noting that Turkey's participation would give the coalition the ability to fly more missions within the air campaign against the militant group.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry had also Thursday confirmed the U.S. and Turkey's join operations against ISIS. At a press conference in Ankara, Foreign Ministry Tanju Bilgiç said that joint operations were to begin in the near future.
"Once the targets are determined, the required intelligence must be made, which will then be followed by an operation. Turkey and the U.S. have announced their agreement on the technical details, thus it is obvious for all to expect joint airstrikes to begin in the near future," Bilgiç had said.
Additionally to Bilgiç's statements on Thursday, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said there are no contradictions between Turkey and the U.S., and "how the joint operations will be realized is a matter for the military and its related institutions."
The agreement between Turkey and the U.S., in part, allows the latter to conduct manned and unmanned flights out of the Incirlik Air Base in southern Turkey, and for Turkish jets to conduct airstrikes against ISIS.
Turkey last month conducted solo airstrikes against ISIS targets inside Syria but the agreement with the U.S. has set a common targeting process that integrates Turkish jets into the coalition force
Most people would love to see the copy of the actual signed and sealed 'agreement' between Turkey and the US.
It is just incredible how some countries think they can just ignore the sovereignty of another.
Turkey bizarrely claimed it relied on some old pre-2003 NATO invasion agreement to bomb inside Iraq recently.
The Turkish Kurdish 'political' parties are fully involved in Turkish airstrikes in Syria.
Members of the pro-Kurdish People’s Democratic Party were appointed European Union minister and development minister of the caretaker government [ie to try and launder money and weapons from the EU into Syria]
